You (and your team if you deliver this course as training) will have a better understanding of SLCN and its presentations.

By implementing the knowledge and strategies learnt in the SLCN course, you can be confident in delivering High Quality Teaching (even higher than you did before the course) for your current class and for years to come.

You will be able to help the children you work with to make progress and overcome their barriers to learning.

You’ll have saved money on finding cover support for your class or session. And the more of your team who complete the course the more money you’ll save on finding cover for them too!

You can update your SEND report to show that you (and 100% of your staff if you deliver this course as training) have received specialist speech and language training and are skilled to work with children with additional needs.

What will you get?

In module 1 we will look at the definition of SLCN, prevalence and patterns, pupil profiles and case studies, barriers to their learning, the wider impacts of SLCN, and what does a Speech and Language Therapist do?

Module 2 covers discussion and definitions of the 7 different areas of SLCN.

Throughout module 3, I'll show you specific strategies to support the children you work with, for each of the 7 areas of SLCN.

Module 4 features a recap of information, onward planning for you to take what you've learnt into your daily work with the children, further reading and sources or support to extend your CPD even further.
